Radical Islam’s war against the Jewish people is a religious war over values.  Specifically, the value of human life. It is vital and urgent that the Jewish people develops and communicates Jewish values related to the taking of human life.

The challenge is to integrate דעת תורה ודעת העם על דיני נפשות. Daat Torah and Daat Ha’am related to life and death decision making. Daat Torah is the advice of the learned rabbis (Poskim) who make Torah decisions in real-time with situational context. Da’at Ha’am refers to the opinion of the people who vote and accept the laws of the land.

The integration of Jewish values with a majority of the Jewish People is a requirement for the spiritual and physically survival of the Jewish people. We cannot live with one without the other. It is also a requirement for a Jewish democratic state. Regarding Israel, we do not seek a halachic state or a purely secular state. We demand a Jewish democratic state that integrates Jewish and democratic values.

The following four questions will help us develop a Jewish consensus regarding life and death decisions. We invite all Jews to question their Jewish values and seek consensus with other Jews. Values define our identity as Jews.

Jewish-Survival will provide a $500 encouragement payment for the three best outlines for each question delivered before April 16, 2026. We will also award $5,000 for the best overall answer for each question from any source. The first question will attract a $10,000 award. The final deadline for submitting answers to the four questions is May 31, 2026.

Jewish-Survival strongly encourages other organizations to offer awards for whatbest reflect their views. All reasonable articles will be published on Jewish-Survival.com after review.
